Aaron Watkins
VP Business Development, IPSH!
As Vice President of Business Development, Aaron Watkins is responsible for developing campaigns that utilize mobile
technology and building long term mobile strategy for brands and agencies. During his two years with ipsh!, Watkins
has played an instrumental role on a number of major mobile campaigns, and helped the company transition from a mobile
technology company to a full service mobile marketing agency, including text messaging, mobile content, mobile media,
downloadable games and applications and Bluetooth.
Prior to his current role at ipsh!, Watkins worked in a number of other capacities at the company, including sales
support and lead management, where he gained in-depth knowledge of how to determine needs of clients and build campaigns
to realize ROI. His insight and creativity also stems from his diverse background in customer service, as well as stints
working in perception analysis and research.
Watkins graduated from the University of California, San Diego with a bachelor's of science degree.
Michael Sippey
VP Professional Products, Six Apart
Six Apart, makers of TypePad, Movable Type, LiveJournal and Vox. Founded in 2002 by husband and wife team Ben and Mena
Trott, Six Apart provides award-winning blogging software and services that change the way millions of individuals,
organizations, and corporations connect and communicate across the world every day. Sippey has been with Six Apart
since 2004, and has played key roles in product strategy, management and development.
Before joining Six Apart, Sippey was a Managing Director of Quris, a boutique marketing agency focused on email
communications, which he helped found in 2000. Prior to that Sippey was at Internet consultancy Viant, was part
of the startup team at GlobalEnglish.com, and cut his teeth on product management at Advent Software in San Francisco.
Sippey has been publishing online since 1995, when he launched "Stating the Obvious," a then-weekly site of essays on
Internet technology, business, and culture. He currently blogs at sippey.typepad.com and michael.vox.com.
Don Loeb
VP Partner Services, Feedburner
Don Loeb fosters relationships with the largest media companies in the world helping them to leverage the opportunities
afforded by syndication. Previously, Don was director of business development for Yahoo!'s Network Products business unit
where he helped drive the company's open content syndication and social media efforts. He has also held senior positions
at YellowBrix, Inc. and iSyndicate, Inc. where he developed corporate strategy around syndication of audio/video content
and assisted with corporate development initiatives and the sale of the company. Don heads up FeedBurner's branch office
in San Francisco and, while based on the West Coast, he has often been spotted at opposite ends of the country and
worldmysteriouslyat the same time.
Don received a B.A. degree in Applied Economics from the University of California - Berkeley.
Chris Peterson
CEO, Chautuaqua Communications
Chris has 22 years' experience in relationship marketing, 12 of which include the integration of interactive technologies
in marketing communications. He is a pioneer in adapting new technologies and media trends to relationship marketing. His
comments have appeared in the Wall Street Journal and he is profiled in Tom Petzinger's book, The New Pioneers: The Men
and Women Who Are Transforming the Workplace and Marketplace. He is a frequent speaker at industry events, including Direct
Marketing Association and National Center for Database Marketing conferences.
Chris has lead direct and interactive strategies for eBay, Microsoft, HP, Google, Sprint, Applied Biosystems, PeopleSoft,
Siebel, 3Com, Bay Networks, Sybase, IBM, Union Bank of California, 21st Century Insurance, among others.
Sara Moorthy
Director of Strategic Planning, Chautuaqua Communications
Sara has been developing marketing strategy for more than 15 years, including go-to-market planning, developing database
marketing strategies and creative platforms, managing call centers, and web consulting. She works closely with clients to
understand the key business issues and develop strategy and plans to help organizations meet business goals.
She was previously with Draft Worldwide, Wunderman/Y&R, and McCann Relationship Marketing. She was most recently Director
of Strategic Planning at Publicis Dialog in San Francisco. She has worked with such clients as Microsoft, HP, Sprint,
Sony, Google, Adobe, Covad, Nestle, Cadillac, GM, Bermuda Board of Tourism, CDW, and Countrywide Financial.
